The SANCAR Armed Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), developed through collaboration between Havelsan and YONCA Technical Shipyard, has successfully completed firing tests in the Marmara Sea, demonstrating high-accuracy target engagement capabilities.

The unmanned vessel conducted live firing exercises using a 12.7 mm Stabilized Weapon System integrated with ADVENT ROTA through the ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS), achieving high-accuracy hits on targets during tests attended by officials from the Presidency of Defense Industries and Naval Forces Command.

First fully integrated USV system

SANCAR has become the first and only USV fully integrated with ADVENT, featuring engagement capability, mine detection ability and autonomous mission functions.

The achievement marks a critical threshold in future operational environment studies, as it successfully combines Havelsan's network-enabled operational capability with expertise in autonomous unmanned systems.

ADVENT ROTA, the unmanned vehicle version of the ADVENT CMS product family developed by Havelsan for Naval Forces Command requirements, was deployed in an unmanned system for the first time.

The integration ensures SANCAR USV's full compatibility with other platforms in the Naval Forces Command inventory equipped with ADVENT CMS.

With its network-centric operational capability and autonomous command infrastructure, SANCAR USV will be at the center of future naval warfare.

Expansion of unmanned naval systems

Havelsan General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar stated that the project yielded a valuable product, distinguished from its counterparts and containing many firsts, achieved through intensive effort during the design, development, and testing phases.

"We are conducting serious activities for the further expansion of our Unmanned Surface Vehicles Product Family in the coming period."

"We will achieve bigger targets and innovations with our products and solutions that will shape the sector in unmanned surface vehicles in both domestic and foreign markets," Nacar said.

Nacar emphasized that SANCAR USV, the first member of the Unmanned Surface Vehicles Product Family, is being prepared for Naval Forces Command use.
