Political parties in the Turkish Parliament have submitted their member nominations for a new 51-member parliamentary commission aimed at achieving the "terror-free Türkiye" goal.
The Parliamentary Presidency's deadline for political parties to submit member nominations ended at 5 p.m. local time Thursday, completing the commission's formation structure.
The Justice and Development Party (AK Party) submitted 21 members, making it the largest represented party in the commission.
The Republican People's Party (CHP) nominated 10 members, while the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) each contributed four members.
The New Road Party submitted three member nominations, while the Free Cause Party (HUDA PAR), Workers' Party of Türkiye (TIP), Labor Party (EMEP), Democratic Left Party (DSP), and New Welfare Party each nominated one member.
The AK Party's 21-member delegation includes several high-ranking officials and committee chairs.
Deputy Chairman and Trabzon MP Mustafa Sen leads the list, alongside Ankara MP Kursad Zorlu, Hatay MP Huseyin Yayman, and Group Deputy Chairman and Gaziantep MP Abdulhamit Gul.
The delegation also features Justice Commission Chairman and Istanbul MP Cuneyt Yuksel, Petition Commission Chairman and Adana MP Sunay Karamik, and representatives from various provinces, including Erzurum, Antalya, Diyarbakir, Izmir, Istanbul, Kahramanmaras, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Mersin, Sanliurfa, Tekirdag, Van, Malatya, and Samsun.
The CHP nominated Group Deputy Chairman and Ankara MP Murat Emir, along with Ankara MP Okan Konuralp, Bursa MP Nurhayat Altaca Kayisoglu, and Diyarbakir MP Mustafa Sezgin Tanrikulu.
The party's delegation includes multiple Istanbul MPs: Turkan Elci, Turan Taskin Ozer, and Oguz Kaan Salici, plus Izmir MPs Murat Bakan, Gokce Gokcen, and Mehmet Salih Uzun.
The MHP delegation consists of Deputy Chairman and Istanbul MP Feti Yildiz, Sakarya MP Muhammed Levent Bulbul, Kirikkale MP Halil Ozturk, and Tokat MP Yucel Bulut.
The DEM Party nominated Group Deputy Chairman and Kars MP Gulustan Kilic Kocyigit, Erzurum MP Meral Danis Bestas, Antalya MP Hakki Saruhan Oluc, and Istanbul MP Cengiz Cicek.
The New Road Party's three-member delegation includes Group Chairman and Istanbul MP Bulent Kaya, Group Deputy Chairman and Mersin MP Mehmet Emin Ekmen, and Izmir MP Mustafa Bilici. Several party general chairmen will serve as commission members, including DSP General Chairman Onder Aksakal and HUDA PAR General Chairman Zekeriya Yapicioglu, representing their parties directly.
Individual nominations from smaller parties include TIP Istanbul MP Ahmet Sik, EMEP Istanbul MP Iskender Bayhan, and New Welfare Party Istanbul MP Dogan Bekin.
