Famous Turkish rapper Suleyman Burak Bodur, known by his stage name Lvbel C5, has been arrested over allegations of promoting drug use through his music. Lvbel C5 has nearly 1 million followers on YouTube.
According to a report from Turkish website Ekonomim, the rapper was summoned to the Gebze District Police Department yesterday evening to give a statement. After being questioned, he was referred to the Gebze Criminal Court of Peace.
Lvbel C5 is facing charges of “encouraging drug use,” with prosecutors seeking a prison sentence ranging from 5 to 10 years. Following his court appearance, the judge ordered his arrest, and he was transferred to Kandira Prison. .
