Türkiye has extradited 10 fugitives wanted on international and national warrants after coordinated police operations in cooperation with Germany, Georgia, North Macedonia and Morocco, the Interior Ministry announced on Sunday.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said the individuals were wanted under Interpol Red Notices, which are international alerts issued to locate and detain suspects for extradition.
The operations were coordinated by the Interpol-Europol Department, Justice Ministry officials, and various police units—including intelligence, organized crime, narcotics, cybercrime, and border security teams—with Yerlikaya emphasizing the crucial role of international cooperation in securing the arrests.
Among those apprehended was B.O., described as a member of an organized crime group and wanted for multiple offenses, including membership in a criminal organization, premeditated assault, and armed threats.
He was detained in Germany, along with S.B. and E.G., both sought for drug trafficking, and R.D., who was wanted for manslaughter.
Georgia extradited T.O.A. for drug-related offenses and D.O. for a combination of drug, firearm, and tax law violations. Morocco handed over Y.A., who was sought for alleged membership in a terrorist organization.
Türkiye also secured the return of three individuals wanted under national warrants—E.F. for fraud and theft, A.C. for fraud and tax-related offenses, and N.S. for facilitating illegal travel and document forgery—after they were detained in Georgia and North Macedonia.
Yerlikaya stated that Türkiye will pursue fugitives without exception through international partnerships, adding that the ministry will continue its efforts to maintain public safety and uphold the rule of law.
