The number of casualties continues to rise across the region as Iranian missile strikes and Israeli military operations intensify, with injuries mounting in Israel and fatalities increasing in Lebanon.
Fragments from an Iranian cluster missile fell across several locations in the greater Tel Aviv area on Sunday, causing damage to buildings and injuring civilians, according to multiple media reports.
Missile debris landed in Bat Yam, Holon, Or Yehuda and Beit Dagan, with Israel Hayom reporting impacts across the Gush Dan region.
Yedioth Ahronoth said two people were injured after missile fragments struck a house in Bat Yam, while Channel 12 reported additional damage in nearby cities without providing further details.
Videos shared on local Telegram platforms showed fires breaking out in Holon following the incident.
Air raid sirens sounded shortly before the impacts across the greater Tel Aviv area, including Holon and Bat Yam, as well as in the coastal plain and Sharon region, following a missile barrage launched from Iran.
Since early Sunday, Israel has faced successive missile barrages from Iran, though there were no immediate independent assessments of the full extent of damage or casualties.
Israeli authorities have limited disclosures regarding losses and have repeatedly warned against publishing images or footage of targeted sites.
Earlier, Israel’s Health Ministry said the number of people injured since Feb. 28 had exceeded 4,500 as of Sunday morning.
In Lebanon, the death toll from Israeli attacks has risen to 1,029 since the start of Israel’s expanded offensive on March 2, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
The ministry said 2,786 others have been injured during the same period, according to a statement carried by the state news agency NNA.
The Israeli army has conducted extensive airstrikes and a ground offensive in southern Lebanon since a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2.
The latest escalation follows a joint U.S.-Israel offensive on Iran launched on Feb. 28, which has resulted in more than 1,300 deaths, including senior security officials, and widespread destruction.
Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel, as well as locations in Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries that it says host U.S. military assets.
Some of these attacks have caused casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure and have been condemned by the affected states, which have called for an end to the strikes.
