Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has decided to present U.S. President Donald Trump with the Order of the Nile, Egypt's highest state honor, the spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency announced on Monday.
The award comes in recognition of his distinguished contributions to supporting peace efforts, defusing conflicts, and, most recently, his pivotal role in ending the war in Gaza.
President Trump is scheduled to arrive in Egypt to attend the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, where he is expected to meet President El-Sisi.
The Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit is scheduled to convene on Monday afternoon, which will bring together over 20 world leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Order of the Nile is a pure gold collar consisting of three square gold units on which there are Pharaonic symbols.
The first unit resembles the idea of protecting the state against the evils, the second one resembles prosperity and happiness brought by the Nile, and the third one refers to wealth and endurance.
