Egyptian President Abdulfattah el-Sisi stated that Israel’s recent actions in the region will not lead to new peace agreements and could even endanger existing ones.

Sisi made the remarks during a speech at the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League in Qatar, following Israel’s attack targeting Hamas members in Doha. He emphasized, “Israel’s actions have crossed all red lines.”

Potential for escalation

Highlighting the risks posed by Israel’s conduct, Sisi said it has the potential to escalate tensions and that Tel Aviv is undermining all ceasefire efforts. “This Israeli audacity requires the summit countries to develop a cooperative vision to prevent unilateral measures,” he added.

Addressing the people of Israel, Sisi warned, “What Israel has done neither leads to new peace agreements nor maintains existing ones; it risks nullifying them.”
