Emirates airline resumed flight operations at Dubai International Airport on Saturday after briefly suspending services earlier in the day.
Dubai Media Office said in a statement that Emirates would restart operations Saturday afternoon.
The airline also confirmed in a post on X that passengers with confirmed bookings for flights departing later in the day could proceed to the airport.
The announcement also applies to transit passengers traveling through Dubai, provided their connecting flights are operating as scheduled.
Earlier Saturday, Dubai International Airport temporarily suspended operations to ensure the safety of passengers, airport staff and airline crews.
Emirati authorities denied reports that the airport had been attacked, saying that relevant agencies had dealt with a “limited incident” that caused no injuries.
The statement came after claims circulating on social media suggested that the airport had been targeted by drone attacks.
UAE authorities did not provide further details about the nature of the incident or how long the suspension lasted.
Iran has launched missiles and drones toward Israel and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets since Feb. 28.
Some of the attacks have caused casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, including ports and residential buildings.
Tehran says the attacks are in response to a U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran that has killed hundreds of people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior military officials.
