Mandla Mandela, grandson of the late South African leader Nelson Mandela, praised Türkiye’s humanitarian role as the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) received a shipment of emergency aid from a Turkish vessel.
The Turkish ship arrived on Monday morning carrying much-needed humanitarian aid and emergency relief.
Mandela hailed the contribution as a symbol of international solidarity with the people of Gaza, describing it as "a humanitarian and philanthropic contribution."
Mandela reassures that their message to the people of Gaza is loud and clear; they will deliver humanitarian aid and stop the genocide.
The Turkish government, through the Türkiye Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), dispatched the vessel carrying urgently needed food, medical supplies, and relief goods.
“With Türkiye’s support, the flotilla now sails with renewed strength. We call on others to follow Türkiye’s example and stand with the Palestinian people,” organizers added.
Mandela joined the Flotilla, which left from Tunis, declaring that Africa is part of this struggle.
“As Africans, we know very well what it means to live under occupation, under oppression,” he told journalists, describing his participation as a continuation of his family legacy.
He says his part in the protest is a continuation of his "family legacy."
The (GSF) is billed as the largest maritime humanitarian initiative of its kind.
It symbolizes the determination of freedom-loving people across the world who stand united.
