Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem condemned the U.S.-Israel-Lebanon framework agreement on Saturday, calling it a "grave blunder" by Beirut and saying his group considered the deal null and void.
Qassem said the agreement signed in Washington was "humiliating, shameful, and a surrender of sovereignty" and accused Lebanese authorities of "legitimizing" Israeli occupation through the deal.
"The framework agreement in Washington is humiliating, shameful, and a surrender of sovereignty. This agreement is null and void, and the provisions of the Iranian-American memorandum of understanding must be implemented," Qassem said in a statement.
Qassem said the Israel-Lebanon framework agreement should be replaced by the Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding.
He also said any attempt to link Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon to Hezbollah's disarmament crossed "red lines."
The Hezbollah chief's remarks came after the U.S.-Israel-Lebanon framework agreement was signed in Washington.
Qassem described the deal as a major mistake by Beirut and said Hezbollah rejected it as invalid.
