Preliminary figures show at least 1,045 people have been killed in Iran, 11 in Israel, six U.S. soldiers and nine others in Gulf states as fighting continues across the Middle East.

Explosions have been reported for a fifth consecutive day in Iran, Israel and several other countries after the United States and Israel began attacks on Iran on Saturday.

Tehran has responded by launching waves of missiles and drones at Israel and toward several military bases in the Middle East where U.S. forces operate.

Iran had previously warned that if it were attacked, it would target U.S. military facilities across the region, which it considers legitimate targets.

Countries targeted in attacks

Israel’s air force said it dropped more than 1,200 munitions across 24 of Iran’s 31 provinces over the past day as part of the joint attack with the U.S.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it launched strikes on 27 bases across the Middle East where U.S. troops are deployed, as well as Israeli military facilities in Tel Aviv and other locations in Israel.

According to available information, Iranian strikes have reached nine countries in the region: Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

An Iranian drone also struck a runway at a U.K. military base in Cyprus.

Most of the attacks have been intercepted, according to the reports.
