Iran has carried out at least 917 missile attacks since Feb. 28 against U.S. bases and critical sites in seven Arab countries, mostly in the Gulf region, as part of its retaliation against U.S. and Israeli attacks as the conflict entered its 15th day.

While attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes continue, many critical locations in Gulf countries have been targeted.

According to information compiled by an Anadolu Agency reporter based on statements from defense ministries and official information centers of the targeted countries, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been the most affected by the attacks.

UAE reports hundreds of missiles and drones intercepted

In a written statement, the UAE Ministry of Defense said air defense systems intercepted seven ballistic missiles and 27 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran yesterday.

Since the beginning of the attacks, UAE defense systems have intercepted 285 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,567 UAVs.

Six people of different nationalities were killed and 141 others were injured in attacks targeting the country, according to the statement.

The ministry also stressed that the armed forces remain ready and on alert against any threat targeting the country’s security.

Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar also targeted

According to statements from the Kuwait Government Information Center and Kuwaiti military authorities, 251 ballistic missiles and 472 UAVs have been intercepted since the start of the Iranian attacks.

In Bahrain, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said in a written statement that 121 missiles and 193 UAVs directed toward the country had been neutralized by defense systems.

The statement described the strikes as “brutal attacks” carried out by Iran and said Bahrain continues its response to what it called “terrorist attacks.”

Qatar’s Ministry of Defense said the country was targeted with 166 ballistic missiles, 75 UAVs, and two Su-24 fighter jets.

The Jordanian army said that 60 missiles and 59 UAVs directed toward the country during the U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran were destroyed.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense reported that at least 19 missile attacks and 249 UAV strikes targeting the country’s territory were recorded.

The Sultanate of Oman said it had been targeted by 16 UAVs.

Iran says hundreds of military sites targeted

The Iranian military said it had carried out attacks on 500 U.S. and Israeli military sites since the start of the war, using more than 700 UAVs.

According to a report by Iran’s official news agency IRNA, attacks have been conducted on 60 strategic targets and 500 U.S. and Israeli military sites since Feb. 28, using hundreds of missiles and more than 700 UAVs.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian previously said his country has always emphasized maintaining friendly relations with regional countries based on good neighborliness and mutual respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

However, he added that this “does not eliminate its right to self-defense against military attacks by the US and Israel.”

Israel and the United States launched military attacks on Iran on Feb. 28 while negotiations between Tehran and Washington were ongoing.

Iran responded by striking selected targets in several regional countries, primarily Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, as well as Israel.

In the U.S.-Israeli attacks, several senior Iranian officials were killed, including the country’s leader, Ali Khamenei.

According to Iranian officials, the number of people killed in the attacks has exceeded 1,348, while the number of injured has surpassed 17,000.
