Ali Larijani, Iran's top security official, claimed Sunday that remaining members of Jeffrey Epstein's network have devised a conspiracy to stage an incident similar to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and blame Iran for it.

"I've heard that the remaining members of Epstein's network have devised a conspiracy to create an incident similar to 9/11 and blame Iran for it. Iran fundamentally opposes such terrorist schemes and has no war with the American people," Larijani wrote on X.

Hostilities have escalated since Feb. 28, when Israel and the U.S. launched joint attacks on Iran, killing around 1,200 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

As Israel says at least 3,195 people have been injured in Iranian attacks since the start of the Israeli-U.S. war against Iran late last month, the Health Ministry said Sunday. A ministry statement said that 81 remain hospitalized, including one in critical condition and nine in serious condition.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets.

Bahrain Defense Force recently noted that it intercepted 211 drones and 125 missiles since the start of Iranian attacks on Feb. 28, amid the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war on Iran
