The intelligence chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Majid Khademi, has been killed in U.S.-Israeli strikes, Iranian state media confirmed on Monday.

“Major General Majid Khademi, the powerful and educated head of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was martyred in the criminal terrorist attack by the American-Zionist enemy... at dawn today,” the Guards said in a post on their Telegram channel.

No additional details were immediately available about the strike.

Meanwhile, state broadcaster IRIB, citing an IRGC statement, said Maj. Gen. Seyed Majid Khademi was “martyred” in the attack.

Khademi had been appointed head of the IRGC’s intelligence arm in June 2025 following the killing of his predecessor, Gen. Mohammad Kazemi, in an Israeli strike.

Regional tensions have escalated since the United States and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing over 1,340 people so far, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
