The Israeli military said Sunday it carried out a “precise strike” in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, claiming it targeted a senior Hezbollah operative.
In a brief statement, the army said it “conducted a precise strike targeting a key Hezbollah terrorist in Beirut,” adding that further details would be provided later.
Lebanon’s official National News Agency reported that “hostile aircraft” had bombed a southern suburb of Beirut, resulting in injuries and significant material damage.
Hezbollah has not yet commented on the reported strike.
