The Lebanese army said an Israeli strike on a post in southern Lebanon on Sunday killed a soldier and wounded 18 others.

“One soldier was killed and 18 others were injured, including some with serious injuries, because of the Israeli enemy targeting the army center in Al-Amiriya on the Al-Qalila-Tyre road. The center also sustained severe damage,” the army said in a statement.

Casualties, damage
Medical and civil defense teams swiftly responded to the site, transferring the injured to a hospital in Tyre. The army confirmed the severe damage to its position as a result of the strike.
This attack brings the total number of Lebanese soldiers killed by Israeli strikes from Oct. 8, 2023, to 41.
