The Israeli military said around 200 Israeli Air Force jets carried out what it described as the largest military flyover in its history, striking missile arrays and aerial defense systems belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in western and central Iran.

In a statement shared on social media, the Israeli Defense Forces said more than 500 targets were hit, including aerial defense systems and missile launchers at multiple locations across Iran simultaneously.

Broad strike on missile and air defense sites

The Israeli military said the operation targeted the IRGC’s missile array and air defense infrastructure in several areas of the country.

According to the statement, the strikes were conducted following precise planning and based on what it described as excellent intelligence.

Expansion of aerial superiority

The Israeli Defense Forces said the operation involved synchronizing hundreds of fighter jets.

It added that the strikes enabled the expansion of the Israeli Air Force’s aerial superiority over Iranian airspace.
