Israeli settlers raided the town of Tel near Nablus in the occupied West Bank under military protection, Palestinian media reported, days after deadly violence in the same area.
Israeli forces entered Tel, southwest of Nablus, to allow the settlers into the town and fired tear gas during the raid, according to the reports.
The Israeli military also raided homes in several parts of Nablus and detained Palestinians.
Four Palestinians were killed and four others wounded when Israeli settlers attacked Tel under army protection on the morning of July 24.
Two Israelis were also killed during clashes as residents resisted the attack.
Following the violence, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed authorities to accelerate the recognition of unauthorized Jewish settlements built on Palestinian land and the establishment of new ones.
Israeli settlers also carried out attacks in 16 areas across the West Bank, including raids, shootings, beatings and the burning of homes, property and agricultural land.
Violence in the West Bank has increased since the Gaza war began in October 2023, with a rise in settler attacks against Palestinians and Palestinian attacks against Israelis.
More than 500,000 Israelis live in settlements across the West Bank, excluding East Jerusalem, alongside about 3 million Palestinians.
All Israeli settlements in the West Bank are considered illegal under international law.
Official Israeli figures show that at least 47 Israelis, including civilians and security personnel, have been killed in Palestinian attacks or during Israeli military operations since the Gaza war began.
Over the same period, Israeli forces have killed 1,182 Palestinians and arrested about 24,000.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said recent deaths raised the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank since the beginning of 2026 to 86, including 65 killed by Israeli forces and 21 by settlers.
