Israeli attacks continue despite ceasefire

Israel began attacks on Lebanon in October 2023, with the fighting developing into a large-scale war in September 2024.

More than 4,000 people were killed and about 17,000 wounded during the conflict.

On March 2, the Israeli military launched intensive airstrikes on Lebanon and occupied several towns in the country’s south.

The Lebanese government said the number of people displaced during the fighting exceeded 1 million.

Ceasefire extended several times

A ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect on April 17 and was later extended several times.

Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli military has continued carrying out strikes on Lebanon, citing various reasons.
