Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the security of shipping and energy transit in the Strait of Hormuz had been endangered by what he described as a U.S. violation of the ceasefire and the imposition of a blockade by Washington and its allies.
Ghalibaf made the remarks in a post on X, where he assessed the latest situation in the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for maritime traffic and energy transit.
“The new equation of the Strait of Hormuz is in the process of being solidified,” Ghalibaf said.
He said the security of navigation and energy transit had been put at risk by the United States and its allies through actions that violated the ceasefire.
“The security of shipping and energy transit has been jeopardized by the United States and its allies through the violation of the ceasefire and the imposition of a blockade,” he said.
Ghalibaf said Iran would stand against the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
He said the actions of the U.S. and its allies would weaken, saying “their evil will diminish.”
Ghalibaf also said the current status quo in the Strait of Hormuz was not sustainable for Washington.
“We know full well that the continuation of the status quo is intolerable for America; while we have not even begun yet,” he said.
His comments came as he accused the U.S. and its allies of endangering the security of shipping and energy transit through the ceasefire violation and blockade.
