Israel pounded Iran in a series of air raids on June 13, striking 100 targets including Tehrans nuclear and military sites, and killing the armed forces chief of staff, the head of Irans Revolutionary Guards and top nuclear scientists. Iranian media reported that new Israeli airstrikes hit multiple locations in western and northwestern Iran on Saturday, including cities that house critical defense infrastructure and military bases, after Iranian missile attacks on Friday night.

According to reports by Iran’s semi-official Fars and Mehr news agencies, the strikes targeted the northwestern city of Tabriz, as well as areas in the provinces of Lorestan, Hamedan, and Kermanshah.

However, the Public Relations Center of the Tabriz Refinery denied these claims, stating that “reports of an Israeli attack on the refinery are baseless.”

Mehr News Agency specifically reported that the vicinity of the Tabriz Refinery, located in East Azerbaijan Province, was among the sites targeted.

Tasnim News Agency reported that Iranian air defense systems engaged “hostile targets” over Tabriz, Khorramabad, and Kermanshah. In a separate update, Tasnim said that multiple “Zionist drones” were shot down over the city of Khorramabad in western Iran.
