Concern over regional escalation

During the conversation, Bayramov said the recent escalation of tensions in the region is a cause for concern.

He stressed that Azerbaijan has consistently emphasized the need for all parties to refrain from actions and rhetoric that could lead to instability in Iran and the surrounding region.

Bayramov underlined that Azerbaijan follows developments closely and favors de-escalation at a time of heightened regional tensions.

Emphasis on diplomacy and international law

The Azerbaijani foreign minister highlighted the importance of resolving disputes exclusively through dialogue and diplomatic channels.

He said issues should be addressed in accordance with international law and its established principles, reiterating Azerbaijan’s position in favor of peaceful solutions.
