Odesa endured an attack on Wednesday that left at least eight people injured, including a child. Two of the wounded were taken to hospitals, as damage struck residential buildings, cars, offices, and two educational institutions.
The attack left a 24-story residential building damaged, destroying apartments on several floors and shattering windows in neighboring buildings. Cars were also struck.
Odesa City Council's press service said 13 residential buildings sustained damage in the Kyivskyi District, with more than 600 windows shattered.
Two high schools and offices in the Primorskyi District were also hit.
Specialists continue to evaluate the fallout from the attack across several districts of Odesa, while emergency and utility crews remain on site.
Crews continue working to restore electricity as quickly as possible, and emergency response centers have been set up for residents who need assistance.
Russian shelling damaged an area near a gas station in the Odesa region on Aug. 31. The strike hit a gas pump and a passenger car.
A fire broke out as well, though rescue workers extinguished it. No casualties have been reported so far.
