A car bomb detonated late Saturday near the Golden Mezzeh Hotel in Damascus, Syrian state media reported.
The explosion occurred in the Mezzeh district, a central neighborhood that hosts government offices, embassies, and residential areas.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the blast was caused by an explosive device hidden inside an old vehicle parked close to the hotel.
The detonation could be heard across the western part of the capital but did not cause any casualties.
Officials have not provided further details about the incident, including potential damage or who might be behind the attack. The Golden Mezzeh Hotel, located in a busy part of Damascus, is known for hosting both local and international visitors.
While explosions have become less frequent in Damascus in recent years compared with earlier phases of the Syrian conflict, isolated attacks continue to highlight security vulnerabilities in the capital.
