U.S. President Trump used a sweeping Truth Social post Monday to link the Iran peace negotiations to an expansion of the Abraham Accords, calling on Saudi Arabia and Qatar to sign "immediately."

He suggested the other countries involved in the talks, including Türkiye, Pakistan, Egypt, and Jordan, should follow suit or be excluded from the agreement.

"Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are proceeding nicely! It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all, Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before, And nobody wants that!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

'Saudi Arabia, Qatar should sign immediately'

He then revealed he had told the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain during Saturday's call that it "should be mandatory that all of these countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords."

"It should start with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and everybody else should follow suit. If they don't, they should not be part of this deal in that it shows bad intention," Trump wrote.

He acknowledged that "one or two" countries might have reasons not to sign and that "would be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event."

Trump also extended the invitation to Iran itself.

"In speaking to numerous of the great leaders mentioned above, they would be honored, as soon as our document is signed, to have the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the Abraham Accords. Wow, now that would be something special!"

"If Iran signs its agreement with me, as President of the United States of America, it would be an honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled world coalition," he added.

The current Abraham Accords members are the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan and Kazakhstan. Trump noted in his post that the UAE and Bahrain were "already members."

Lindsey Graham backs proposal

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham posted on X on Sunday, urging Trump to "stick to your guns in getting a good deal with Iran" and separately to "stick to your guns in insisting Saudi Arabia and others join the Abraham Accords as part of these negotiations."

"If, in fact, as a result of these negotiations to end the Iranian conflict, our Arab and Muslim allies in the region agreed to join the Abraham Accords, it would make this agreement one of the most consequential in the history of the Middle East. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan joining the Abraham Accords would be beyond transformative for the region and world. It is a brilliant move by President Trump," Graham stated on X.

"To Saudi Arabia and others: Now is the time to be bold for the future of a new Middle East. I expect, as President Trump has suggested, you will, in fact, join the Abraham Accords, effectively ending the Arab-Israeli conflict. If you refuse to go down this path as suggested by President Trump, it will have severe repercussions for our future relationships and make this peace proposal unacceptable. Further, it would be seen by history as a major miscalculation," he added.

"President Trump: Stick to your guns in getting a good deal with Iran. Equally important, stick to your guns in insisting Saudi Arabia and others join the Abraham Accords as part of these negotiations. Again, this is a brilliant proposal by President Trump," the Republican senator concluded.

Regional tensions have escalated since the U.S. and Israel launched strikes against Iran in February. Tehran retaliated with strikes targeting Israel as well as U.S. allies in the Gulf, along with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

A ceasefire took effect on April 8 through Pakistani mediation and was later extended by U.S. President Donald Trump indefinitely.

On Saturday, Trump said an agreement with Iran to end the conflict had been "largely negotiated" and was awaiting finalization. He later posted on Sunday that he had told his negotiators not to rush.
