Several Turkish companies participated in the ninth Baghdad International Construction and Building Exhibition, which was held from Sept. 8 to 11 at the Baghdad International Fairground, Anadolu Agency reported.

This exhibition is Iraq’s leading international exhibition for construction, building materials, infrastructure, and architecture.

Turkish companies, including All Alci, Pyramids Group, and Anadolu Bakir, are participating to expand their presence in Iraq’s construction and building materials market.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Suleyman Atakan Darn Oz, sales manager at Anadolu Bakir, said the company seeks to strengthen its presence in the Iraqi market through its participation in the expo.

Darn Oz noted that his company manufactures insulated copper pipes suitable for Iraq’s hot climate, which are already available in the Iraqi market.

Meanwhile, Murat Arinoglu, board member of the Air Conditioning Industries Exporters’ Association, noted that the association has eight member companies operating in Iraq.

Arınoglu stated, “The trade volume with Iraq in this sector reaches around $330 million annually, and our participation in this expo aims to further increase this figure.”

He added that Türkiye ranks second after China in exports of this sector to Iraq, highlighting that the Iraqi market is estimated at around $3.5 billion, and they are working to secure a larger share in the future.
