Türkiye has effectively halted Iranian citizens' individual crossings from Iran into its territory amid the escalating regional conflict following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.

While Türkiye Trade Ministry announces that official land border checkpoints remain open, only Turkish citizens are currently being permitted to enter from Iran, with others held up at border gates.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged nationals in Iran to stay in secure areas and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary due to the sensitive security situation.

Authorities also refuted social media claims of mass illegal crossings, emphasizing that border security continues with normal procedures. The developments come as tensions soar in the Middle East and routes out of Iran become more constrained.
