The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Friday issued a security and travel advisory for Mali, warning Turkish citizens against non-essential travel to the West African country amid an increasingly sensitive security situation.
In its statement, the ministry said that the overall environment in Mali has become fragile following recent developments, urging citizens to act with caution and comply with local directives.
“The security situation in Mali remains sensitive in light of the latest developments. Within this framework, our citizens are advised to refrain from traveling to Mali unless necessary,” the statement read.
The ministry also called on Turkish nationals who are permanently residing in or temporarily visiting Mali to remain vigilant and closely follow the guidance of local authorities.
The statement concluded with a reminder for citizens to remain alert and stay informed through official channels while in Mali.
