Türkiye supports Bosnia’s territorial integrity, Erdogan says

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Türkiye will continue to provide unconditional support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina during a meeting with Denis Becirovic, chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Istanbul, according to an official statement.

The meeting took place at the Dolmabahce Working Office of the Presidency, where the two leaders discussed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as regional developments.

Türkiye stresses support for Bosnia’s unity

During the meeting, Erdogan said Türkiye would continue its unconditional support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order.

He emphasized that no one should be allowed to disrupt the country’s stability for personal interests.

Erdogan also stated that the region cannot tolerate new tensions, warning that provocative rhetoric targeting the unity of Bosnia and Herzegovina would not benefit anyone.

Call for unity and protection of vital interests

Erdogan underlined that those who support Bosnia and Herzegovina’s unity should act together, stressing that such cooperation is more important than ever in the current period.

He added that Türkiye considers any fait accompli that would violate the vital interests of Bosniaks as unacceptable.

The meeting highlighted Türkiye’s continued stance on preserving stability and unity in Bosnia and Herzegovina amid ongoing regional considerations.
