The U.S. announced a $10 million reward Friday for information on Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and several senior officials, linking them to the activities of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The U.S. State Department said Mojtaba Khamenei, along with nine other officials, was added to its Rewards for Justice program, which provides financial incentives for information that helps authorities locate or prosecute individuals accused of involvement in terrorism-related activities.

Among the officials listed are Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib. According to the State Department, the individuals named in the announcement are connected to the command structure of the IRGC.

"These individuals command and direct various elements of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plans, organizes and executes terrorism around the world," the department said.

The department encouraged people with relevant information to submit tips through encrypted channels, including Tor and the messaging application Signal. The department said individuals who provide useful intelligence could qualify for financial compensation and relocation support under the program.

Mojtaba Khamenei in crosshairs after father’s killing

Mojtaba Khamenei assumed Iran’s top leadership position after his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was killed in a bombing on Feb. 28.

Since taking power, Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared publicly. U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the new Iranian leader was wounded in the strikes and is "likely disfigured," raising questions about his condition.

The Rewards for Justice initiative has long been used by the United States to gather intelligence leading to the arrest or prosecution of individuals accused of terrorism or related offenses.
