2026 NBA All-Star reserves announced: Alperen Sengun not included

Turkish basketball star Alperen Sengun, who made his All-Star debut last year, was not selected for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, the league announced on Monday. Playing for the Houston Rockets, Sengun has averaged 21.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game so far this season.
While he will not participate under normal circumstances, he could still be added as a replacement if a selected player withdraws due to injury or other reasons.

New format: Team USA vs. World
This year, the NBA introduced a new All-Star Game format, replacing the traditional East vs. West matchup.
- The game will feature three teams: two Team USA squads and one World team.
- Each team will have eight players and compete in 12-minute round-robin mini-games.
- The top two teams will face each other in the final championship game.
