5 Turkish clubs secure places in European competitions

The conclusion of the Turkish Cup has finalized the list of Turkish clubs set to compete in UEFA competitions during the 2026–27 season, with five teams earning the right to represent Türkiye in Europe.

Galatasaray secured automatic qualification for the UEFA Champions League league phase after winning the Super Lig title. The Istanbul side will begin its European campaign directly in September, avoiding the qualifying rounds.

League runners-up Fenerbahce will enter the UEFA Champions League in the second qualifying round. The club is scheduled to play its first-leg fixture on July 21 or 22, while the return leg will take place on July 28 or 29.

Turkish clubs set for busy summer qualifiers

Following its Turkish Cup triumph, Trabzonspor earned a place in the UEFA Europa League play-off round. The club will contest its European ties between Aug. 20 and 27.

Besiktas will also compete in the UEFA Europa League, entering the tournament from the second qualifying round. The club’s qualifying matches are set for July 23 and July 30.

Meanwhile, RAMS Basaksehir qualified for the UEFA Conference League and will begin its European journey in the second qualifying round. The Istanbul-based side is scheduled to play its matches on July 23 and July 30.
