Alperen Sengun stars as Rockets top Grizzlies, Lakers crush Nets

Turkish star Alperen Sengun delivered an all-around performance to lead the Houston Rockets to a 119‑109 road victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum.

Sengun contributed 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Supporting him, Kevin Durant added 25 points and 10 assists, while Jabari Smith Jr. recorded 21 points and 16 rebounds. Despite a strong effort from Olivier-Maxence Prosper, who scored 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds, the Grizzlies could not prevent their 13th defeat in the last 14 games.

GG Jackson and Javon Small each contributed 14 points. With the win, Houston improves its record to 44‑29, reinforcing its position in the playoff race.

Doncic leads Lakers to commanding victory over Nets

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 116‑99 in a commanding performance. Luka Doncic scored 41 points and collected eight rebounds, marking his 15th 40-point game of the season.

Austin Reaves added 26 points and eight rebounds, and LeBron James contributed 14 points and eight assists.

The match featured a historic moment when LeBron assisted on a three-pointer by his son, Bronny James, marking the first father-son assist in NBA history.

For the Nets, Josh Minott led with 18 points, while Nic Claxton and Ziaire Williams each scored 16. The loss extended Brooklyn’s losing streak to ten consecutive games.
