Premier League side Arsenal is preparing to make a major summer move for young Turkish star Arda Guler, with reports claiming the North London club is ready to offer up to €90 million ($105.5 million) for the young Real Madrid playmaker.
The Gunners have already made contact with the player’s representatives to test whether a switch could become possible during the upcoming transfer window, according to Catalan news outlet elnacional.cat.
Manager Mikel Arteta reportedly views Guler as an important part of Arsenal’s long-term attacking structure and sees the Turkish international as a player capable of strengthening the club’s creative midfield options for years to come.
Despite Guler’s growing influence in Madrid, the report suggested his long-term future at the club remains unclear due to uncertainty surrounding the managerial situation.
Although Arsenal is intensifying its interest, the report added that Guler is currently satisfied with life in Spain and is not actively looking to leave this summer, while it would take an "extremely attractive" proposal to convince him to reconsider his future.
Interest in Guler is not limited to Arsenal, as Liverpool and Chelsea have also tracked the Turkish midfielder closely in recent months and are expected to explore possible moves if Real Madrid opens the door to negotiations, according to an earlier report by English outlet TeamTalk.
Guler joined Real Madrid from Fenerbahce in July 2023 in a €20 million deal after emerging as one of Europe’s most highly rated young talents. According to the sports transfer market tracker platform Transfermarkt, he holds a €90 million market value under a contract that expires in the summer of 2029. His former club, Fenerbahce, also holds the right to receive a 20% share from his next sale.
The Turkish midfielder went on to form an effective attacking partnership with Kylian Mbappe and produced six goals along with 14 assists in 50 appearances this season.
