Premier League side Aston Villa has finalized the transfer of English striker Tammy Abraham from Turkish club Besiktas in a deal worth €21 million ($24.84 million), which also includes the addition of 18-year-old defender Yasin Ozcan.
The two clubs reached a full agreement, and Ozcan has reportedly agreed personal terms with Besiktas, while negotiations are underway between Aston Villa and Belgian side Anderlecht to terminate his current loan deal, Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reported.
Besiktas signed Abraham last summer from Roma on a €2 million loan deal that included a €13 million mandatory purchase clause, agreeing to a four-year contract through 2029
Therefore, of the €21 million fee paid by Aston Villa, €15 million will go to Roma and €6 million will be allocated to Besiktas.
During his short stint in Türkiye, Abraham, 28, made 24 appearances and recorded 13 goals and 3 assists. The 28-year-old was reportedly earning €6 million annually for the first two years of his deal, increasing to €7 million in the latter two seasons.
Ozcan, a promising Turkish defender, joined Aston Villa from Kasimpasa for €7 million last season but was immediately loaned out to Belgian club Anderlecht. However, limited playing time this season has prompted both the player and the clubs to consider ending the loan early.
Ozcan is said to be open to leaving and is expected to join Besiktas permanently as part of the swap agreement.
