Fenerbahce’s promising young defender Yusuf Akcicek has reportedly attracted interest from Italian Serie A club Bologna, adding to the growing list of European teams monitoring the 19-year-old ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to Turkish media, Bologna has included Akcicek on its transfer shortlist, following previous reports of interest from French side Olympique de Marseille. The Italian club, which recently won the Coppa Italia and aims to strengthen its squad for future challenges, is expected to make an official offer to Fenerbahce soon.

Despite a disappointing season in the Super Lig, Fenerbahce continues to attract attention for its emerging young players. Among them, Akcicek has stood out due to his strong performances, tactical awareness, and consistency in defense. He is considered one of the brightest prospects to come through the club’s youth system in recent years.

European clubs keep a close eye

Akcicek has been linked with several European clubs, and his growing reputation suggests he will be one of the key names in this summer’s transfer market. Bologna’s reported interest adds to the competition for the Turkish U21 international, who is viewed as a valuable long-term asset by many teams.

Fenerbahce is preparing for changes ahead of the 2025–26 season. While the club has not confirmed Bologna’s interest, it is expected to carefully consider all offers as it plans its future squad.

Akcicek’s contract details and transfer valuation have not been disclosed, but with increasing demand, Fenerbahce is likely to seek a substantial fee if they decide to sell their talented centre-back.
