Turkish rookie Adem Bona delivered one of the most efficient bench performances of Saturday night as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Phoenix Suns 109-103 and extended their strong recent run.
Recording 4 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block in 14 minutes off the bench, Bona shot 2 of 3 from the field, limited turnovers, and posted a team-best plus-minus rating, giving Philadelphia defensive energy and interior presence in short rotations.
The 76ers built a 58-47 halftime lead after the Suns opened with a severe three point shooting slump, making just one of their first 19 attempts from beyond the arc through the first one and a half quarters.
Philadelphia entered the fourth quarter ahead 81-71 and stretched the margin further after holding Phoenix scoreless for the first three minutes of the final period.
Joel Embiid led all scorers with 33 points and Tyrese Maxey added 29, carrying Philadelphia past a Phoenix side that struggled from long range for much of the game.
The Suns welcomed back Devin Booker and Jalen Green to the lineup, but their late comeback push came up short. Booker finished with 21 points and nine assists, yet Phoenix could not close the fourth-quarter gap.
The result marked Philadelphia’s sixth win in its last seven games, extending its recent upward run.
With the victory, the 76ers held sixth place in the Eastern Conference at 30–22, while the Suns stood seventh in the Western Conference at 31–22, keeping both sides inside the playoff bracket.
Philadelphia next travels to Portland on Feb. 9, looking to extend its form, while Phoenix returns home to face Dallas on Feb. 10 in its next outing.
