Turkish footballer Hakan Calhanoglu has received a blockbuster offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal as his future at Serie A club Inter remains uncertain.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who joined Inter in 2021, is reportedly exploring options to leave Italy, with a return to Türkiye long rumored.
Galatasaray has shown interest but has yet to make an official move, while Al Hilal is now pushing hard for his signature.
According to reports in Italy and Türkiye, Al Hilal has proposed a three-year deal worth €20 million ($23.55 million) per season, totaling €60 million ($70.66 million). The Saudi club is also ready to pay Inter's €30 million ($35.33 million) asking price in full.
The move would reunite Calhanoglu with his former coach, Simone Inzaghi, who currently manages Al Hilal and is said to be eager to work with the midfielder again.
Despite Calhanoglu's desire to return to Türkiye, Galatasaray is reportedly unable to meet Inter's valuation.
According to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, the Istanbul club is focused on other transfer priorities, including Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, and is only prepared to spend between €15 and €20 million ($18 million-$23 million) for Calhanoglu.
Inter president Giuseppe Marotta has made it clear the club will not lower the €30 million ($35.33 million) price tag.
The final decision is expected to depend on Calhanoglu himself.
While Galatasaray offers a chance to return home and potentially play in the UEFA Champions League, Al Hilal's financial package and the presence of Inzaghi could be decisive.
