Eintracht Frankfurt’s young Türkiye international Can Uzun opened the scoring within minutes, but his side went on to lose 3-2 away to Borussia Dortmund in a Bundesliga clash that shifted momentum before halftime.

Can Uzun put Eintracht Frankfurt ahead in the second minute, setting the tone for a fast start in their away fixture against Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old midfielder’s strike marked his eighth goal of the season, reached across 20 league appearances.

The early goal gave Frankfurt a brief advantage, yet the match soon began to turn as Dortmund responded before the break.

Dortmund turn game around before halftime

The home side equalized through Serhou Guirassy in the 42nd minute before Nico Schlotterbeck added another in stoppage time of the first half to put Dortmund ahead 2-1. The quick turnaround shifted control firmly in favor of the hosts heading into the interval.

Frankfurt, despite their early lead, found themselves chasing the game after conceding twice in quick succession.

Second-half goals seal outcome despite late response

Dortmund extended their lead in the second half when Samuele Inacio made it 3-1 in the 72nd minute, further strengthening their position.

Frankfurt managed to pull one back late on, with Jonathan Burkardt scoring in the 87th minute, but the effort came too late to alter the result.

The match ended 3-2 in favor of Dortmund, closing out a contest that had begun in Frankfurt’s favor but gradually slipped away.

Following the result, Eintracht Frankfurt remained on 43 points, while Dortmund, sitting in second place, moved up to 70 points.
