Fenerbahce rejects $33.8M bid for En-Nesyri as Mourinho vetoes his leave
Fenerbahce refused a €32 million ($33.8 million) transfer offer from Al-Nassr for Youssef En-Nesyri at the request of head coach Jose Mourinho as he wished to keep him in the club.
As reported by Turkish-based sabah.com, Mourinho made it clear that he does not want En-Nesyri to leave the club. Following Mourinho’s negative response, Fenerbahce management decided to keep En-Nesyri on the team.
En-Nesyri, who was acquired by Fenerbahce from Sevilla for €20 million ($21.1 million) at the start of the season, was instrumental in leading the Turkish club to victory in the Czech Republic.
The Moroccan striker scored goals in consecutive matches against Manchester United, AZ Alkmaar, and Slavia Prague.
The 27-year-old striker, who has directly contributed to eight goals in the last nine matches, reportedly received a €32 million offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
