Fenerbahce has signed Netherlands defender Nathan Ake, the Turkish club said on Saturday, bringing the former Manchester City centre-back to Istanbul after six seasons in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old arrives after winning multiple major honours with City, including the UEFA Champions League and four Premier League titles.
"Our club has reached an agreement with Netherlands national team player Nathan Ake, and the player has signed his contract," Fenerbahce said in a statement.
"Following his leave after representing his country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he will join our team at the pre-season training camp in Austria."
Ake began his youth career at ADO Den Haag before continuing his development at Feyenoord and Chelsea. He made his senior debut for Chelsea in 2013 and went on to spend loan spells at Reading, Watford and Bournemouth before joining Bournemouth on a permanent transfer in 2017.
His performances earned him a move to Manchester City in 2020 in a deal reportedly worth around €45 million (51.49 million).
During six seasons at City, Ake won one UEFA Champions League title, one UEFA Super Cup, one FIFA Club World Cup, four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two EFL Cups and one FA Community Shield.
