Turkish club Fenerbahce is pushing to sign Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho as part of their continued efforts to strengthen the squad under head coach Jose Mourinho, local media reported on Tuesday.
Fenerbahce have opened talks with both Real Madrid and 25-year-old Brahim Diaz over a possible loan deal. According to reports, the Moroccan international is open to joining the Istanbul-based club due to limited playing time in Madrid.
Mourinho is said to be personally involved in the effort to convince Diaz, who contributed six goals and six assists in 52 appearances for Real last season, 23 of them as a starter.
The club is also eyeing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, 21, as another potential loan signing. The Argentine attacker had a breakout season with the English giants, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists in 58 appearances across competitions.
Garnacho, who can play across the front line, is reportedly pleased with Fenerbahce’s interest.
Fenerbahce had previously reached a full agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for Marco Asensio.
However, the Spanish winger is currently being kept on standby, with a deal dependent on the outcome of the Diaz and Garnacho pursuits.
