Formula 2 and Formula 3 races will be held at Istanbul Park as part of the 2027 Formula 1 Türkiye Grand Prix, the Türkiye Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) announced.
Both series are on the program for the Grand Prix weekend, scheduled for Friday to Sunday, Oct. 1-3, 2027, at the TOSFED Istanbul Park circuit.
TOSFED President Eren Uclertopragi said the federation specifically asked to hold Formula 2 and Formula 3 in Istanbul as part of Formula 1's return to Türkiye.
"During our five-year contract period, we hope to see our young athletes also racing on our own track in front of full stands over the Turkish Grand Prix weekend," Uclertopragi said.
Formula 2 and Formula 3 are the two main single-seater series below Formula 1 and usually race as support events on Grand Prix weekends.
Istanbul Park is located in Tuzla, on the Asian side of Istanbul, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the city center. The circuit is 5.3 kilometers (3.3 miles) long.
Formula 1 raced at the circuit from 2005 to 2011 and again in 2020 and 2021.
