Turkish club Galatasaray has reportedly added Milan's 26-year-old left winger Rafael Leao to its shortlist for another landmark transfer, Italian media reported.
According to the local media outlet Milan News, Galatasaray holds a strong technical appreciation for the Portuguese forward, in addition to its ongoing interest in Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman, as previously reported by Turkish media.
Although Galatasaray rates Rafael Leao highly, the possibility of securing him in the January transfer window appears unrealistic, the report noted, adding that AC Milan is not open to parting with the Portuguese winger and that the Istanbul club has not yet initiated talks with his camp.
Leao is also currently fully focused on his club duties and preparing for the upcoming derby against Inter, and he is not considering a transfer in January, the report added.
The 26-year-old winger has a market value of €70 million ($81.13 million) on Transfermarkt and has recorded five goals and one assist in eight appearances this season. He has missed seven matches due to a calf injury.
Earlier reports in Turkish media noted that Galatasaray has been monitoring Ademola Lookman, currently at Atalanta. The 28-year-old Nigerian winger is under contract until 2027 and reportedly held discussions with the club earlier in the season.
Lookman has scored one goal in 10 appearances so far this season.
He is said to be unsettled in Italy, particularly under coach Ivan Juric, which may make a January transfer more plausible. His estimated market value stands at €40 million.
