Galatasaray has reportedly set its sights on Strahinja Pavlovic, Raphael Onyedika, and Ademola Lookman as top priorities for the upcoming winter transfer window, the Turkish media said.
The club aims to strengthen its squad across key positions following its impressive Champions League form, according to reports.
As part of the efforts, the Yellow Red has identified Serbian center-back Strahinja Pavlovic as a key defensive target, the Turkish daily Sabah reported. The left-footed defender, currently playing for Milan, has a market valuation of around €18 million ($20.82 million) and a contract running until 2028.
The 23-year-old has featured in 12 matches this season, contributing two goals and one assist. Club officials are monitoring his situation closely as part of plans to add balance and ball-playing ability to the back line, the report said.
Head coach Okan Buruk is reportedly insistent on signing a midfielder capable of playing both defensive (No. 6) and box-to-box (No. 8) roles. Raphael Onyedika of Club Brugge has therefore returned to Galatasaray’s radar.
The Nigerian midfielder, valued at around €20 million and under contract until 2027, is seen as an ideal fit for the team’s tactical structure, the report suggested.
For the attacking line, Ademola Lookman of Atalanta remains the club’s preferred choice. The 28-year-old winger, also contracted until 2027, reportedly held talks with Galatasaray earlier in the season.
With a market value of around €40 million, Lookman has scored once in nine appearances this season and is believed to be unsettled in Italy, particularly under coach Ivan Juric, making a January move more feasible.
The Turkish champions, who lead the Super Lig by four points ahead of Fenerbahce, are preparing targeted reinforcements to maintain their domestic dominance and build on their strong European form.
The club’s 3–0 away victory over Ajax in the Champions League group stage lifted them to nine points from four matches and boosted their chances of direct qualification for the round of 16.
If Galatasaray secures a top-24 UEFA coefficient position by February, the club will be eligible to register up to three new players for the Champions League knockout stage.
Management plans to use these slots to reinforce the defense, midfield, and attack with players capable of making an immediate impact.
