Galatasaray have moved closer to adding Dutch winger Noa Lang to their attacking options, after Italian media reported that the player is preparing to travel to Istanbul later this week.
The Super Lig club, based in Türkiye, is lining up a loan deal with a purchase option, following talks with Italian side Napoli.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the administrative process for the transfer is expected to be wrapped up on Wednesday. Once the documents are cleared, Lang is set to fly to Istanbul on Thursday, when he will go through routine medical checks.
Galatasaray is also planning to hold the signing ceremony on the same day, signaling that the move is entering its final stage.
Reports indicate that Lang has already given the green light to Galatasaray’s proposal. The Turkish club is working on a deal that would bring the 26-year-old to Istanbul on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy.
Schira reported that Galatasaray has put forward a contract running until 2030, covering a six-month loan followed by four permanent years, with an annual salary of €4 million, including bonuses.
Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncioglu added that, should the clubs finalize their agreement, Galatasaray would cover half of Lang’s annual net salary of €2.8 million during the loan period, amounting to €1.4 million for the remainder of the season.
Lang joined Napoli at the start of the season from Dutch club PSV in a transfer valued at 25 million euros.
Despite high expectations, his impact in Italy has been limited so far. He has appeared in 26 matches across competitions, totaling 937 minutes on the pitch, with one goal and two assists to his name.
His current market value is still estimated at around €25 million, underlining why Galatasaray sees the deal as a significant opportunity.
