Galatasaray have officially opened transfer negotiations with Manchester City for their Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson. With just one year left on his contract, Manchester City is reportedly open to selling Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson. However, Galatasaray faces stiff competition from other European sides, particularly Napoli, who are also are willing to add to the squad.
Although Ederson's current market value stands at €20 million (₺938.928.000) million, Manchester City is asking for a €15 million transfer fee. The 31-year-old Brazilian is also seeking an annual net salary of €10 million. Viewing both demands as steep, Galatasaray remains in active talks with both City and the player's representatives to find a middle ground.
Since his €40 million move from Benfica in 2017, Ederson has enjoyed a highly decorated spell at Manchester City, lifting 18 major trophies—including the Champions League, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, six Premier League titles, and several domestic cups.
In 372 official appearances for City, the experienced Brazilian goalkeeper conceded 311 goals and kept 168 clean sheets. He has also earned 29 caps with the Brazilian national team.
