Galatasaray to pursue Ilkay Gundogan as future in Barcelona remains uncertain
Türkiye’s major sports club Galatasaray is reportedly pursuing Ilkay Gundogan, the German national of Turkish descent, who is rumored to be leaving Barcelona.
Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, has informed Gundogan that he will not be guaranteed regular playing time.
Among the clubs interested in acquiring the world-renowned footballer is Galatasaray.
Following his meeting with Flick, Gundogan is reportedly evaluating his career options and plans to make a final decision within a week.
Additionally, Al-Nassr is also in the running for his transfer.
Barcelona signed Gundogan for the 2023-24 season on a 2+1 year contract.
Last season, he played 51 matches for Barcelona, accumulating 4,180 minutes and contributing 5 goals and 14 assists.
