After injuries on the pitch and battles in court, Galatasaray star Mauro Icardi is now in legal trouble over a luxury villa in Türkiye.

The case stems from claims by his former landlord in Istanbul, who has initiated enforcement proceedings over unpaid rent and alleged property damage, adding to the player’s ongoing legal disputes in Argentina.

The Argentine footballer is already involved in a court case with his former partner, Wanda Nara, over child custody and alimony.

Landlord seeks $480,000

Icardi lived in a luxury villa in the Gokturk district of Istanbul with Wanda Nara, paying a monthly rent of $40,000.

The landlord claims that Icardi left the property before the end of the lease and did not pay the remaining rent, as reported by Milliyet. So, the owner is now seeking payment equivalent to one year of rent.

The case has moved forward through enforcement proceedings, with reports indicating that three separate enforcement files have been opened against the player.

The total amount sought is reported to be $480,000.

Alleged property damage

The dispute extends beyond unpaid rent.

The landlord has also accused Icardi of leaving the villa in poor condition.

Reports state that the property required significant repairs after he vacated it. Based on these claims, an additional compensation case has been filed.

The allegation states that the property "was used improperly" and left in poor condition.

Both sides have reportedly entered mediation following the enforcement filings. However, the dispute is expected to proceed to court if no agreement is reached.
