Italian club Inter Milan has expressed interest in Fenerbahce’s 19-year-old center-back Yusuf Akcicek, continuing a string of European suitors for the Türkiye international.
Reports indicate that French sides Marseille and PSG, along with Germany’s Stuttgart, have tracked Akcicek since last year. Inter has now reportedly submitted a €16 million ($18.75 million) offer for the young defender, which Fenerbahce has declined.
The Turkish club is said to value Akcicek at €20 million and prefers that he remain with the team for at least one more season.
Currently, the 19-year-old is under contract with Fenerbahce through 2028 and has an estimated market value of €12 million.
Born on January 25, 2006, in Istanbul, Yusuf Akcicek began his youth career at Galatasaray before moving to Fenerbahce Academy in 2019. He signed his first professional contract with Fenerbahce in 2023 and quickly earned opportunities with the senior team.
Akcicek's development has accelerated under Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho, attracting significant attention from European clubs.
